Internationally renowned creative director chooses new partner

Katrien Bottez and creative agency FAMOUS say “I do”

Creative Director Katrien Bottez is set to trade in her post at advertising agency ‘Duval Guillaume’ in March 2015 in order to lead a fresh team of creative talent at FAMOUS, the largest independent creative agency in the Benelux. In her new role as Executive Creative Director, Katrien will spearhead a newly formed management team together with Creative Directors Iwein Vandevyver and Laurent Dochy. Katrien Bottez is one of the most awarded creative directors in the world and in 2013 was voted number 1 in the rankings of the “world’s most creative people” by US online magazine Business Insider.

The creative agency, FAMOUS  has itself been on the receiving end of virtually every major award in existence over the past 17 years. However, the agency has even higher ambitions for the future. With hundreds of international awards to her name, Katrien Bottez is the ideal figure to push FAMOUS, both creatively and commercially speaking, further up the international ladder.

Marc Fauconnier, CEO FAMOUS: “I am extremely proud that Katrien Bottez has chosen to join the team at FAMOUS. With such a world-renowned personality as Executive CD, FAMOUS is not only making good on its promise of creative solutions for its clients. Katrien’s arrival also signals the reinforcement of a corporate culture that places a huge emphasis on talent coaching and strong team spirit. Her extensive experience also puts us in pole position when pitching for international campaigns.”

Katrien Bottez, Executive Creative Officer about joining FAMOUS: “It is with enormous enthusiasm that I accept this new challenge. Even during preliminary talks with Marc, I could really feel that we shared a common vision and a common ambition: to make FAMOUS’ clients “famous” while also ensuring that FAMOUS remains a place where people love to work.”

Katrien Bottez is without a doubt one of the greatest creative talents to emerge in recent years. She began her career as Creative Director at the Belgian Duval Guillaume in 2005. Firstly together with Peter Ampe, followed by Geoffrey Hantson in 2012. Since then, Duval Guillaume was not only voted Agency of the Year 3 times in a row but also succeeded in winning the highest international praise for its campaigns, year after year, at advertising festivals such as Cannes, Eurobest, Clio and One Show.

In 2012, Katrien Bottez was declared one of the 25 most creative people in the global advertising industry by the online magazine Business Insider. In 2013, she leaped to first place in that list. Moreover, her agency was not only widely acknowledged as a game changer on the advertising landscape, according to Business Insider, her work is among the best advertising ever created.
