Console Swap: FamousGrey and Proximus let gamers test their skills in the real world

Gamers trade digital controls for real world consoles

With the eye-opening content series Console Swap, FamousGrey and Belgium's leading telco company Proximus want to counter the negative perception around gaming and show the remarkable abilities of gamers. They challenged four pro gamers to swap their usual gaming controllers for an entirely different kind. In the first episode, for example, they asked to trade a FIFA controller for a surgical robot's controller. This fascinating experiment shows the exceptional skills gamers have, going far beyond the virtual world.

Each episode confronts a gamers with a unique challenge set by the hosts. These challenges vary from co-piloting in rally races to executing robotic surgery on a banana or orange. The objective extends beyond mere victory or defeat; it's about illustrating the transferability of gamers' expertise into real-world scenarios.

This campaign by Proximus seeks to spotlight the versatility and talent inherent within the gaming community. It emphasizes the constructive influence of technology on gaming while underscoring Proximus' dedication to nurturing creativity and proficiency among gamers.

The series has already garnered significant attention in Belgium, with 150,000 viewers tuning in just days after its launch. Episodes can be followed on Proximus' social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube) and through partners such as IGN Benelux and Geeko.
