AKQA Brussels strengthens its creative leadership with Kenn Van Lijsebeth and John Benois

AKQA Brussels marks a new chapter in its evolution with the appointment of Kenn Van Lijsebeth and John Benois as Creative Directors. Over the past few years, Kenn and John have stood out through impactful campaigns; today, they have the opportunity to help redefine the agency’s creative vision in their new roles. The overall creative direction of AKQA Brussels remains under the leadership of Peter Ampe, who continues to hold final responsibility for all clients.

With the appointment of Kenn and John as Creative Directors, AKQA Brussels is doubling down on its commitment to creativity and quality.

"Every client, every project deserves the same level of attention. That’s why I’m glad to surround myself with people I’ve worked with for years and whose value I know well," says Peter Ampe, CCO of AKQA Brussels.

This reinforcement reflects the agency’s ambition to better connect innovative creativity with business results. With its team of 90 experts, the agency continues to play a pioneering role in developing distinctive brand solutions that are both creatively driven and commercially impactful.

"On one hand, we’re investing in creative talent; on the other, we’re investing in artificial intelligence — and exploring how these two dimensions can reinforce each other to drive greater creativity, improved efficiency, and stronger results for brands," adds Francis Lippens, CEO. "This is how we’re tackling the challenges of our industry today."

John will further elevate the agency’s craft, which has already seen strong momentum in design since Jan Sidgwick’s arrival. Kenn will draw on his journalistic background and passion for high-impact PR ideas. Both will lead their own projects while continuing to create closely alongside Peter Ampe.

Kenn Van Lijsebeth & John Benois, Creative Directors at AKQA Brussels: "We can only feel grateful and proud of the opportunities AKQA is offering us. It was Peter who taught us the craft, gave us the right push, and brought us together. Reaching this milestone is a true recognition of our work. This new role is not only a major step forward in our own journey, but also an opportunity to contribute even more to the agency’s growth."
